Our Practice

We are a small, queer-owned private practice based out of Baltimore, Maryland. We believe each person exists with their own unique set of experiences, strengths, and goals so our therapeutic process seeks to reflect that individuality. We view therapy as a collaborative process which prioritizes a safe place for folks to slow down and unpack all of the beliefs, burdens, expectations, identities, fears, and hopes they hold; to assess what works and let go of what no longer serves them, to review who they’ve been and cultivate the person they want to be.

Throughout the process of therapy, we draw on interventions from a variety of modalities to enhance our clients’ insight and skill-base. Some of these modalities include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) for managing challenging symptoms of depression or anxiety, building tolerance to strong emotions, enhancing perspective-taking and communication skills, and tackling reoccurring life stressors.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is our primary trauma processing modality and can be an effective tool to ‘turn down the volume’ of trauma memories and symptoms, challenge and replace harmful self and world beliefs left behind by traumatic experiences, and to promote a renewed sense of personal trust and safety.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is used in our relational work to develop understanding and empathy between partners, navigate family-of-origin and cultural experiences or expectations that may be contributing to disconnection, and nurture opportunities for trust building, shared vulnerability, and mutual support.
We weave these research-based interventions along with broader elements of play, humor, movement, creativity, and therapeutic connection to craft a therapeutic process that is holistic, nurturing, and sustainable.
